What is the Coating?

Highland's ACT-100-U� coating is a unique multi-component polyurethane with high crosslink density. Just 70 mils of the ACT-100-U� coating outperforms 100 mils of fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) in every respect � including impact resistance, adhesion, exposure to heat and cold, abrasion resistance and overall corrosion resistance. Highland's ACT-100-U� coating requires absolutely no artificial reinforcement.

Superior Performance

Highland's ACT-100-U� technology meets or surpasses all current UL standards. The ACT- 100-U� tank is as rugged as the STI-P3� tank (industry standard) but does not require monitoring or cathodic protection with anodes. Performance tests prove the ACT-100-U� coating to be far superior to polyester/fiberglass coatings and much more resistant to incidental damage. This high impact resistance makes the Highland ACT- 100-U� tank less likely to suffer damage during transport or installation � and that means fewer problems for you in both the short and long term.

Cost Effective

Highland's ACT-100-U� tanks are economical. On a total installed-cost basis, the ACT-100-U� tank costs less than any other unmonitored tank configuration on the market today. Imagine � improved performance and safety without a higher price tag!

Environmentally Friendly

Unlike polyester/fiberglass composite tanks which utilize amines, styrenes and other hazardous materials in production, the ACT-100-U� coating resin uses none of these materials and is environmentally friendly. This polyurethane coating is not an environmentally regulated material. It can be disposed of as non-hazardous material, thus complimenting Highland Tank and our customers' environmental programs.

Long Term Quality

Highland's ACT-100-U� tanks are manufactured and coated under strict quality control procedures and must pass a 15,000 volt spark test before shipment. All tanks carry a 30-year limited warranty.
